ABOUT ME
Hi, Iām Bhavika Thakker.
I am a psychological therapist trained in high and low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), working within the NHS and private sector.
I completed my undergraduate studies in Psychology at The University of Nottingham. Following this I worked in a range of inpatient and outpatient mental health services within the NHS. Here, I learnt to assess and support clients with complex needs before embarking on further specialist training in CBT.
Having started off providing low intensity therapy and thereafter training and offering high intensity therapy, I am equipped to deal with a wide range of different presentations. I also work as a Deputy Clinical Manager alongside my clinical practice which has allowed me to lead on delivering therapy services on behalf of a wider organisation. Alongside my NHS work I offer private talking therapy services following the principles of CBT. I specialise in working with adults (18+).
When I am not working I enjoy walks with my dog, spending time with friends and family and travel.
